Power Washing on Cape Cod, done right

Cape Cod's salt air, heavy humidity and dense tree canopy create the perfect conditions for mold, mildew, algae and black streaks to build up on siding, decks and driveways. Left alone, that buildup works into painted surfaces and wood grain, cutting years off the life of your exterior. A thorough power washing in the spring or fall removes the layer that is quietly doing damage, and it makes a dramatic difference in curb appeal before a sale or before a fresh coat of paint.

We adjust the pressure and nozzle for every surface we touch. High-traffic concrete can handle a hard rinse, but cedar shingles, wood trim and older painted siding need a controlled, lower-pressure wash to clean without splitting grain or blasting away paint. We pre-treat stubborn organic growth with a biodegradable solution, rinse from top to bottom so dirty water never runs back over clean areas, and walk the full surface before we pack up to confirm nothing was missed.

What is included

  • Full exterior siding wash (vinyl, cedar shingle, wood clapboard, fiber cement)

One visit removes years of salt, mold and algae buildup from your Cape Cod home's exterior.

How it works

Our Power Washing process

01

Free On-Site Estimate

We come to your property, look at every surface, note areas of heavy buildup or damage, and give you a straight price with no visit fee.

02

Surface Pre-Treatment

Stubborn organic growth, black streaks and mildew get a biodegradable pre-treatment before the water hits the surface, so the wash does its full job.

03

Pressure-Adjusted Washing

We set the right pressure for each surface, whether that is wood siding, vinyl, concrete or masonry, and work top to bottom so every rinse runs clean.

04

Inspection and Sign-Off

Before we leave we walk the full job with you. If anything looks off, we fix it on the spot at no extra charge.

Power Washing: common questions

Most homeowners on Cape Cod pay somewhere in the range of $150 to $400 for a standard house wash, depending on the size of the home, the number of stories and how heavy the buildup is. Decks and driveways are typically quoted separately. The exact number depends on what we see, so the free estimate is the right starting point.
Not when it is done correctly. Cedar shingles and older painted surfaces need a lower pressure and a wider nozzle than concrete does. We adjust the setup for each surface type and use a soft-wash approach on wood and painted areas so the cleaning is thorough without splitting grain or stripping paint.
Once a year is a reasonable baseline for most Cape Cod homes. Salt air and humidity keep mold and mildew growing faster here than inland, so homes with north-facing walls, heavy tree shade or close proximity to the water often benefit from a wash every spring before the rental or sale season gets underway.
You do not have to be there the whole time, but we do ask that someone is available at the start so we can confirm which surfaces are included and point out anything we noticed during the estimate. After that, most customers go about their day and we call when the job is finished.
Always before. Paint applied over dirty, moldy or chalky surfaces does not adhere properly and will peel sooner than it should. We include surface washing as part of our exterior painting prep, so if you are planning to paint, mention it and we will schedule the wash as the first step.
